My iPad just went black and will not start. It has not been dropped, nor has it been wet. I am very careful with it. What do I do now?

Plug it into an electrical outlet let it sit a few minutes. Then try performing a hard reset, by holding the home button and the lock buttons at the same time until an apple logo appears.

Nice one vasili0s, but the procedure is simply called Reset. There is no hard reset in Apple iDevices.
