Importing Outlook Express E-mails?

I have recently joined the Apple family and took the plunge in getting the new 27" iMac.

Anyway, my previous desktop was a Windows PC and I've backed up all of my e-mails onto an external hard drive from Outlook Express - and all of my e-mail is backed up into .dbx files.

My question is, how can I restore/import these backed up e-mail onto my new iMac, and into the Apple Mail program?

Any advice would be appreciated!

The easiest method is to drag your Outlook contacts into Contacts. However if you cannot then you can use the Import Vcardcommand. Outlook Express can export contacts to Vcard file format, once in Vcard format then import them into Contacts. The problem is Outlook doesn't provide a tool to export all the contacts to Vcard in a batch, you have to export each one by one. However there are third party utilities that will do this for you.
