iPod touch GB

I don't understand. My ipod is saying I have used 27.4 gb of the 28 GB when I only have 22 apps and only 2 of them are near 1GB. I have not used that much space up and I don't understand why my iPod touch 5g is saying that...

Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the colored bargarph of storage usage on the iPod in iTunes. What is using the storage? How large is the "other"?

That is what I thought

An "other" that large usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.
