transferring a rental movie from one ipad to another (movie not started)

I have just purchased a new ipad, and when backing up the old one and restoring the new one I can't get a movie (rental) to sync. I haven't opened the movie yet and want to move it to my new ipad as I am travelling in a few days and want to take the moviw with me.

Can anyone advise if it is possible to move a rental movie from one device to another and if so how?
