I updated the latest software last night and now my Apple TV does not respond to my remote. I tried every troubleshooting available. I press my remote buttons and the Apple TV light blinks, so the remote works. Also, Apple TV keeps resetting every 2 mins. I have no control whatsoever of this device. Anybody have any similar issues? Suggestions?

jrrmn: Unfortunately you will need to restore your Apple TV in iTunes. If you have a micro USB cable you can do this yourself by following these steps:

Otherwise, your local Genius bar can restore it for you:

Right after I posted my issue, I repeatedly reset the Apple TV by pressing and holding the Menu and Right Arrow buttons on the remote. After a few tries, I got my remote to work, but for a few seconds!
So I reset again and again until I regained control of the remote and I very quickly went to my General Settings and chose Restore. That solved it, thank goodness, otherwise it wouldn't be until tomorrow when I would've been able to get the micro USB.
Thank you for the advice, because now I know about the micro USB solution in case I'm not lucky next time.
I've had the same problem. Updated my Apple TV (v2) a few days ago and the remote wouldn't respond.

Thank you for your posting. It worked for me after the restore, but the problem is after it wakes up from sleep it it does not work again. I am not sure whether its due to the latest update not being compatible with my tv, is there a way (by using the micro-usb method) that perhaps I can downgrade the firmware to the previous update? Please help Thank you.
