When i sync another photo folder the previously sync photos are no longer on Ipad

When I choose the drop down to sync photos from I tunes to my Ipad the photos I had already synced disapear. I am also having a hard time combining a folder of photos that were taken on the Ipad with a folder I synced from a pc.

Any help?

That's how it works. The iPad is designed to be in sync with only one folder of photos at a time. If you want to 'add another folder of photos' what you really need to do is add that second batch of photos into the main folder that you already have in sync with your iPad.
