Headphone jack won't work.

After installing Windows 7 and installing support software my headphone jack won't work. Sound comes out of my Mac's speakers when using Windows but not from headphones. When I go to the control panel, hardware and sound it recognizes that the headphones are connected. I have disabled and enabeled and played with the settings but the problem persists. What else can I do?
