"Add a folder to library" is not in my menu list on itunes????

I want to add a large music folder to my itunes but I don't have the "Add a folder to library" option in my menu list. I can only add songs one album at a time. It will take me forever to do this. How do you add large amounts of music at one time. I'm sure it can be done, I just don't know how. thanks
