how do i delete a birthday entry in my calendar?

Birthdays are imported into the calendar from the contacts app. If you want to delete a particular birthday, go into the contacts app for that person and remove their birthday info. If you want to delete all birthdays, you can turn off the birthdays in the calendars app by tapping the Calendars button in the upper right corner of the calendars app and uncheck ing Birthdays.
