how do I make sure that I am closing out of all web pages. my son tells me this is what is drainging my battery and using up so much usage.

Good morning
If you double click your home button it will bring up all your apps that are "running".
Then press on any one of them until a red circle-white dash appears.
Then tap on each app you want to close.
You should also check Settings> Privacy> Location Services... then tap location services and turn off any apps you don't really use.
