    Hi there,

     

    Just other users here, I don't know if there's a technical reason or not, there may be, but Apple is famous for not supporting anything more than 2 generations ago.

    Because the original iPhone is ARMv6 and 4.0 would run very very slowly on ARMv6 (dunno if this is the reason, just guessing). I have tried a "hacked" iPhone original running iOS 4 and it is incredibly, incredibly, slowwwwwww. Takes about 2 minutes to open Safari.
