This morning I woke up and I saw my phone had an update for iOS 6.1 Beta 4. I got to work and spoke to my iPhone enthusiast and he says I should not have Beta 4, if you have Beta 4 you have bigger problems (his words). My contract is through Verizon and I have the iPhone 4S 32GB. So what is Beta 4, what did it do to my phone, and is it bad that I have this?

Your friend is correct in that the beta versions are not to be installed by anyone who is not a developer. Did you install a Beta version previously? If so go to your developers forum to learn how to install the final release.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I heard that that's only for developers, and I'm most certainly am not a developer.
