How to connect my electric piano to my mac book pro

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what I would need in order to connect my electric piano to my mac book pro?

I would like to record stuff in Garage band using my electric piano.

I have no idea what cables or equipment I would need, so any help would be much appreciated.

The piano I've got is a KORG EC120 and it has MIDI IN/OUT and a couple of LINE INPUTS (Though I am not familiar what to do with them! 😕)

The mac book I like to hook it up to is a 13" Mac Book Pro (early 2011).

Thanks! 🙂

There are many ways to do this but do yourself a favor and pick up a usb audio/midi interface. This will let you get either the keyboard voices or Midi input (computer Midi voices) into garageband along with microphone or other instruments if you want in the future.

You will also need a cable to connect the keyboard to the interface.
