delete ipad backup

I am trying to update my iPad to 6.01 but a message says that it is impssible to do the back up and says to delete the corrupted file. Where is it?

iPad 2, iOS 6.0.1

In computer iTunes > Preferences... (Windows: Edit > Preferences...) > Devices > select your backup and Click the Delete button.
