I have a 2012 Volvo S60 - I don't get email nor text notifications sounds coming through the car stereo. Can anybody help?

Correct. I don't believe these sounds are divertable to external objects like car stereos.

My colleague has the same car but he has the iphone5 and it works fine - is it the iphone4 that doesn't support it? If so, how do I fix it? My car is equipped with bluetooth capability.
