connecting printing application
please assit me in hooking up my printer to ipad and starting the process

Whether you will be able to use AirPrint will depend upon whether the printer that you have supports it - those that do, and some info about using AirPrint, are on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356
If your printer doesn't support it then the printer manufacturer may have their own app in the store which supports it e.g. Epson have an iPrint app, and HP have their own ePrint app. Otherwise there are a number of third-party printer apps e.g. Print n Share, PrintCentral Pro etc which might work with it
