Hi, I am new to FCP X but not FCP. I am working on a project trying to learn this program and I have done something (stupid) and now the clips that existed in my timeline are all active, but anything new I bring down from the event library is disabled and greyed out. I cannot find what I did to make this happen. Please help? Thanks.

Could you post a screen shot? Maybe soloing is switched on. Or the screen isn't drawing properly. It's kind of hard to tell.
Hi and thanks. Screen shot is attached. Because of your post, I tried to finalize the audition, which was not an option for me, but soling worked. Now I have to look up what that is!! Thank you.
You have soloed the audio track. That's the only track you'll hear. You still see the video but only soloed items will be heard. In legacy FCP you could solo tracks. In X you can solo any selected clips.
