Q: I didn't realize the update to my apple tv would take so long and need to turn it off for the night, will this be a major issue

My apple tv has been updating for a couple hours and I need to turn it off, never thought it would take this long, can I just turn off the tv

If you stop the update you will have to do the restore from itunes with a micro usb cable
