Is anyone experiencing more 3G network connectivity on Verizon's iPad after upgrading to OS 6.1?

After updating my iPad (version 3), Verizon 4G LTE, I noticed that my iPad no longer remains on 4G LTE when I am out in public locations that traditionally were where strong LTE signals existed.

I didn't notice it until after I Upgraded my iPad to OS 6.1. Is anyone out there knowledgeable about this particular problem? As anyone had the same problem? Is Apple aware of it?

Was having the same trouble with my iPad 3. Thought it was the network so called Verizon. Tried taking out the sim card and reinstalling. That did not work. Tried doing a Reset Network Settings, did not seem to work either. Verizon tried to push the PRL to the iPad but it would never seem to update. Later we went out so I tried the Reset Network Settings again. This time it looks like it is holding the LTE signal. I did noticed now that the PRL went from 15170 to 15189. Perhaps the wrong PRL file was sent in the update. I had to put my wi-fi password back in to connect to my home network after the reset. I am in South Carolina so your PRL may be different. If you are still having trouble call your carrier and see if they can push the PRL file to your unit.

Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings

I was having the same issue. I noticed it was after a carrier update, not the iOS 6.1 update. A call to verizon has cleared my issue up. The had to reprovision my device. I don't know if you can do this without them but Settings/General/Reset/Reset Subscriber Services/Reprovision Account. Again! I did this with them over the phone. It might be required for the fix. Good luck.

Apple phone support had set up an appointment at the apple store to replace my ipad. I called verizon and the did some things on their end and also offered to replace the ipad because what did appeared not to work right afterword. Within ten minutes of that it started working. I suggest going to the apple store if you have one close by.
