because if I update fcpx now I'm worried how I will import 10.4 work which is half done on it and the problem with previous version of fx factory I had was that it was not compatible with fcpx 10.

Why do you not update FCPX to 10.0.7 ?
My incomplete project is in 10.0.4 .....I'm quite new to FCPx and don't know how easy would it be to open it in a newer version ....I'm just worried that it might show some missing blocks ...I have already used several plugins which may disappear due to non compatibility of the latest version......so it is better to be able to install the fx factory plugin.....
There is no problem to open older projects in FCP 10.0.7. There are only few problematic plugins and none of them are in FX Factory. I have only heard og Neat Denoiser and Magic Bullet.
If you're concerned with introducing glitches of any sort – including incompatible plug-ins – you could protect your projects by following these steps. You'd be archiving your current version of FCP, your project(s) and event(s) and you could go back to them if it became necessary.

have fcpx 10.4 and fx factory that says it requires 10.6....is there anyway to make this fx factory work on 10.4 besides updating fcpx.....and compatibility utility or something ?
