Problems with intelligent album iphoto/aperture

Hi,

when I create an intelligent album in aperture I can see the album in iphoto also but I can not see the pictures. The album is empty. The same happens when I create a new album in iphoto and I will see it in aperture.

What can I do to solve the problem?

Thank you...

Smart albums should be visible in both applications, see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5260

Do your albums contain images, that have been rejected in Aperture, or hidden in iPhoto?

Or have you additional smart filters set by searches? These will not be visible in iPhoto.

If you have neither rejected not hidden photos in the smart albums, I'd recommend to rebuild your library (after backing it up). See: Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual

I have almost the same issue. When I create a smart album in iPhoto with date between 2000 and 2004, I see about 3000 pics. When I open the same iPhoto smart album in Aperture, I see all of my 85,000 pics. Then I've created a smart album in Aperture with the same limits and I can see the 3000 pics, but when I switch to iPhoto and open the Apertue smart album, I see all my 85,000 pics.

I've done repair and rebuild of the library, but it won't help.

regards Harry
