Q: Is there any solution for MacbookPro mid 2010(ML Upgraded) play Apple TV?

Hello Apple staff or Guru

Up to now

Is there any solution for MacbookPro mid 2010(ML Upgraded) play Apple TV?

I try AirParrot app, it works mirrioring fine, why ML doesn't have that function?

Thanks in advance

Your MacBook Pro is a version too early to use mirror even with ML.  It just does not have the hardware.  Airparrot works in a different way so can be used on pre-early 2011 MacBook Pro.

You should be able to airplay iTunes with Home Sharing on, just not the mirror bit.

Thanks for your answer. Can you more elaborate on these two ways?

Just want to have more knowledge.

It is a technical processor issue, any MacBook Pro before early 2011 (mid 2011 for all other Macs) does not have the power to do it.  I believe Airparrot uses a software solution so it works with slightly older processors.  I am not techie enough for the exact spec differences but know that is the layman's issue.  I can mirror and have Airparrot, I prefer mirror but found AP perfectly good.  Reflectorapp and Beamer have other solutions too but I have not used them.
