My iPad doesn't see most wifi networks. It will see my network at home, but it won't see them elsewhere, even though everyone else can see them on their devices. I have tried re-starting and resetting the network settings. Any hints?

The iPad display of networks available does not display networks whose signal strength is too low for a reliable connection.
Can you manually add the networks? Also, can you see most public wi-fi networks?
I tried to manually add it but it says it doesn't see it.
Any information about what network this is? Or where it is? Can others not only see it but connect to it and use it?
Like Jim said, if the wi-fi network doesn't have enough signal strength it won't be displayed. Are the other people using iOS devices? If iOS devices are seeing and connecting to the networks and you are not, the troubleshooting basics to follow are restart/reset/restore, in addition you'd want to reset the network settings. If those things don't work, then a trip to the Genius bar would be appropriate.

Yes - everyone else can see the network and connect to it. I am beginning to think it is a hardware issue.
Yeah - I am going to have to take it in to the Apple Store - I have tried all of those thing. Thanks for the input, though!
