HI all
Pages 09. I'm creating some sheets for a stamp album to mount my collection. Is there a choice of borders anywhere? Also I need to measure the stamp sizs and draw a box around where the stamp will mount.
Then I label everything.
It was easy many years ago using Word Perfect but I don't see anything in Pages I can use.
I appreciate any help
Thanks

Allen,
Pages has a border stroke called Picture Frame with several pattern options. Here's an example where I have used rectangular shapes with No FIll. A border stroke was set to Picture Frame for the largest rectangle. I prefer using a Page Layout template for this.

Allen,
Fruhulda answered most of your questions, I think. Insert > Shape... will get the shape to your page. Then move it and size it either by dragging the handles or by entering positions and sizes the Metrics Inspector.

Hi Jarrold
Thanks much for your help. Took me a in to figure it out ;-). I also Googled "Picture Frame Borders for Pages" and found a ton of stuff. Now all I got to do is figure out how to use them.
One thing I still need is the ability to 'draw' a box using dimensions (usually metric). Is there a way to do that?
Got a full work schedule today so will play more with this tomorrow (Sun)
Thanks
Allen

Time you looked through your menus and Inspectors to see what they do.
They are all exceptionally well organised and follow a logical, document down to fine detail, working left to right, top to bottom arrangement.

Have the chosen Shape selected. In the Inspector palette > Metrics tab > Size you can add the measures you want for the shape.
Also add the words Mac and iWork in your search. You will get rid of some of the hits that is solely PC

Thanks all for your help.
