itunes wont recognize ipad 2 after it installed an upgrade

I plugged my ipad 2 into my computer today and itunes hit with I believe a 6.0 upgrade. ever since then my ipad will not come on or be recognized by itunes. turning it off and on does nothing, reset (i think im doing that right) does nothing...can anyone help ??
