Q: Attention: iPhone 3GS may explode due to the battery issue

After 3 years' use, the battery expanded by itself when charging, if i did not stop charging immediately, high chance it will explode. 

Have called Apple's customer service, was told it is already out of warranty, even if it exploded, there is nothing to do with them.  Very disapponted about their response, will not continue to buy apple products in future. photo-1.JPG

    Any device with a battery has the potential for this to happen.

     

    Why would you expect Apple to do anything about a 3yr old device?  The warranty is only 1 year.

    My 3gs has the same problem today. I use iphone 4s now and only use my 3gs as a gps for a few time recently. The battery in my 3GS blew up like a pillow today. It push the monitor out of the case as in your picture.

     

    I disagree with diesel vdub. Warranty is 1 year but blew battery is another story. It's very dangerous.
