Is there a possibility to lock the buttons of the iPod nano 7G?

The new iPod nano now has a few buttons to control its main functions unlike its predecessor.

If I carry it with me within a narrow pocket of my trousers buttons will be pushed by some movements.

So e.g. the music will stop or the iPod turns completely off..

I had it two times and its already annoying me!

So my question: Is there a possibillity to put a lock on its buttons?

I skimmed the manual but couldn't find anything.

Can it be that Apple forgot to implement this function or do they just think it wasn't necessary?

I think it is!

No. There is no way to lock out the volume and play/pause buttons on the nano 7G.
