Bookmarks do not sync between iPad 2 and iMac (both use Safari). Bookmarks are enabled in iMac's settings as well as in iPad. I turned them off and on, no effect; bookmarks do not sync.

This problem seems to have existed for quite some time. I have yet to See an apple response to this problem. Why does Apple choose not to respond? Apple, if you have a blog then admit it. Do not leave us in the dark.
I have noticed that in order for bookmarks to sync they need to be added to the 'Bookmarks Menu' folder on the iPad/iPhone/iMac for them to show up on the other devices. I noticed that bookmarks added outside of the 'Bookmarks Menu' folder do not seem to sync. See this article for further troubleshooting advice: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4001
