Q: Office 2013 for mac.

Hi Apple people.
I just wanna know that if u have something idea about "Office 2013" for mac.
U know what i mean, the office 2013 that is not the subscription one.

I dont wanna use the office 365 because its no sense at all. I want the whole software which i can use whenever i want until i want to uninstall i

Are'nt the Microsoft will build a Office 2013 for mac?
I hope they will make so.

Or maybe i should just buy the Microsoft Office 2011 for mac instead incase of there will be no office 2013.

I'm new to mac world, i havnt install any office software yet. I was looking at the office 2011 but i said there will be a 2013 version,

but i get disappointed to know that there are no office 2013 for mac.

I wanted to know this 'trick' you used, and I still don't

Apparently it just fixed itself, according to you, but thanks anyhow.

Honestly I'm not 100% sure but if what happens on the MacBook Air when I go to load it works then that's it.

I'll let you know once i'm 100% sure. I don't want to lead anyone down the wrong road. But it works and beautifully. Even Microsoft was pretty impressed.

Actually as I think about this I'm not sure I know why you care. I'm pretty sure you're the one who had no interest in Microsoft products. I'm not trying to be elusive. I just want to verify that Windows 2013 started to work due to this code I installed and it starts at system login automatically and there is some logic to why it might work.

I just am not sure yet.

Cole I'm not sure how we can communicate via email as I'm not comfortable putting up my email address is an open forum. How do you feel about that and then I'll email you. It's just putting your emai ID up in an open forum is not considered a good idea.

I'm actually surprised the system doesn't allow me to send you a private message.

Cole if you click my name you don't see my email address? It's there for me except that possibly since I'm logged in under me maybe that's why.

Of course I am interested, if you have found an issue with the implementation of iCloud for Windows version 3 and have a fix for it why would I not be?

But the fix turned out to be "try again" which is always sensible.

But the OP needs your help with Outlook 2011, for Mac.

The reason you wouldn't be is I'm sure you are the one that had no interest in Microsoft products and wondered why anyone would use them. I think you called me a Outlook nut and said it was worse than a Mac fanboi.

I'm going to have to look at this thread

I don't care to use MS products, that is true, but I have a great interest (on behalf of those who post here) in knowing what is needed to make them work. I thought that you had knowledge of an issue with iCloud and Outlook 2013, but it turned out that I was misinformed.

Could you identify this code that you installed, so that others may benefit from it?

My MacBook Air should have everything sync'd over to it now. Let me install everything there. Verify that what I did works there.

I'm just waiting for Windows to redownload from Microsoft and that's going to take a while as it's over WIFI. My MacBook Air doesn't get the performance I'd expect.

Yes I was able to verify that Outlook 2013 on Windows 8 under Parallels works perfectly with icloud on my MacBook Air using the Apple Tool only iCloud version 3.

Now I'll work next on the SyncMate solution with 2011.

I haven't had much time as I'm very busy but as soon as I get this done I'll report my results. I expect I'll be able to fully replicate my iMac environment though using Syncmate.

I was able to get both my Macs sync'g Outlook 2011 perfectly with iCloud. If the approach I suggested you use isn't right and you want to go the route of Outllook sync'g with iCloud and then all your Apple devices you can do it this way. You'll need Syncmate and since you want to just do Calendars the free version is fine.

Follow the instructions provided by Syncmate to a tee. When i added in my Macbook Air I made a slight mistake and ended up dup'g my records. After recovery, I looked at the instructions again and saw my error. Upon doing a thoroughly clean sync with Syncmate by deleting in my case calendars and contacts and pulling them from icloud ensuring I had a fresh Outlook identity all is going perfect. I set the sync of Calendars for every 30 minutes in sync mate as that's enough and contacts for every 12 hours and I'm thinking that's probably more than is necessary for contacts. The way i did it though assumes your data is all sitting in iCloud.

Since your doing Exchange my feeling there is just to add in an Exchange Activesync identity to Calendars or Busycal. i personally prefer Busycal. i really think this is the approach you should take based on the requirements you specified to me.

You'll be effectively operating multi modal if you do use iCloud calendars for anything. i got the impression you didn't.

So I hope this helps. it does work but just a word of caution if you go the syncmate route. It's very easy to accidentally make a mistake when you're following Syncmates instructions. You'll need to know how to recover from dups if that happens. Otherwise, you'll be good to go this route or with your hosted Exchange server added in to your environment.
