Macbook Pro startup problem

HI, I HAVE A MAC BOOK PRO WITH OS X INSTALLED AND WINDOWS7 ON BOOT CAMP, SUDDENLY MY MAC STOPED BOOTING BUT BOOT CAMP IS WORKING OK, HOW TO REPAIR MY MAC HD OR OS X where i dont have any of the disks that came with my machine at this time of my travel.

At boot up the machine will choose the recovery disk builtin with the system and the utilities window appeare and if I choose the disk utility, the disk utility does not work with Mac HD as it is in Grey color and all the choices are dimed .

I have a similar issue, after using both OSs I used the "start in OSX..." button in windows 7 bootcamp only to have mac not boot, fail to boot and recovery to suggest erase and restore.

Strangely, while in OS X preferences or Win 7 bootcamp, only the current startup drive is shown, hence when i used the above button I think it messed up.

bootcamp is a pain. If anyone has a killer guide to stable bootcamp usage, let me know!

Reboot, hold the option key at the sound of the chime, when the Boot Manager loads what is displayed therein?
