Cannot access the Social Security Web Site

This past year I suddenly cannot access the social security web site through mac, my ipad, or my iphone at home; if I go outside with my iphone to 3G I can get to the site. ALL other bookmarks work fine. I am having no luck with my isp. If I go to a web based proxy server I can get to ssa.gov

Must I add a proxy server like squidman or is there another solution? If a proxy server is my only solution, is somehing better than squidman? I am using Mountain Lion 10.8.2

Csound1, I can get to the website above also. My problem is that when i try to sign into my account, I get a message that the site is unavailable, try back during normal hours. Can you confirm that you can login and get to your actual individual account information.

Thanks CSound1 and balltwo. I can access my data on the site using my Mac, but not on my iPad air or iPhone 5s running iOS 7.0.3. I will need to investigating what is different about my ipad & iPhone configuration vs yours which is able to access your data on the site. Thanks for the quick feedback!

If you mean www.ssa.gov there is no problem (for me) accessing it on Mountain Lion in Safari at all. It also works with Firefox and Opera.

I've noticed that Safari has trouble with government websites, assuming you're using Safari. Try Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome and see if the results change.
