Time Machine recovery

Backed up my MacBook to Time Machine.

Restarted MacBook with an external HD.

Repartitioned the MacBook to a single partition.

How do I use Time Machine to recover data to new partition on my MacBook?

To restore a Time Machine backup:

1. Press Command and R keys while your Mac is starting to start into OS X Recovery.

2. Connect the external drive with the Time Machine backup, choose the option to restore the Time Machine backup and follow the steps.

If you erased the whole drive and you have a Late 2009 or older MacBook, you may need to reinstall OS X in order to restore the Time Machine backup
