My iphoto keeps quitting when I attempt to post pics on Facebook. It will say it sent, then it quits. It sends random pics to the account. Please help.

As the title says I need help in understanding and finding a solution to my iphotos quitting and not being able to post the correct pics on facebook. I dont know the operating system. However the laptop was bought in 2012. Please let me know.
