Home Sharing does not work anymore

I have used home sharing in the past and now with iTunes 11 it no longer works.

I am using Windows 7 64bit and have an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1 and a 4th gen iPad.

I signed in with my ID on the iphone and iPad and then did the same on iTunes and it just says "Turn on

Home Sharing in iTunes on your computer or on Apple TV using the account ******@hotmail.com

I force close the app and then reopen and its the same problem

Firewall is off

Im on my own wifi network

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1

I would try turning off all home sharing and then re-enabling it. Worked for me after the itunes 11 upgrade

Using iTunes 11 on a Mac running OSX Lion, home sharing does NOT work...

Using itunes 11 on a mac running 10.8.2 Home Sharing works as advertised

What issues are you having that means that Home Sharing is not working on your machines

Home Sharing works once after I start iTunes on the Mac.

Next time I want to watch a film, it justs hangs and says it cannot connect to my iTunes library.

I have the same issue on 5 ATVs round the house (some wired some wireless), I have tried fixed and DHCP IP addressing, I have moved the Mac to be on the same switch as one of the ATVs and the problem is still there.

I have tried a different Mac running Mountain Lion and the same thing happens.

At the moment in order to watch a film I have to use Remote Desktop to log onto the Mac and stop and start iTunes then the ATV sees the library. Watch film. Move to other room, fire up ATV no library, use Remote Desktop, rinse and repeat....frustrating isn't the word.
