to what folder should I download music in itunes
When I download MP3s to my computer outside of itunes, what folder should I put them in?
Windows 7
Move them to iTunes\iTunes Media\Automatically Add to iTunes and, well you can guess. 🙂

After placing the mp3's in the Automatically add to itunes folder i plan on starting up itunes 11 and choosing the option to "consolidate files" By doing this can I then later delete the mp3's from the Automatically add to itunes folder?
If iTunes is running, or when you start it up, anything you place in Automatically Add to iTunes will be moved to where iTunes wants to place it, e.g. iTunes\iTunes Media\Music\<Artist>\<Album>\## <Name>.<Ext>. There will be nothing to consolidate and should be nothing left over to delete. Anything that iTunes can't cope with, e.g. artwork in the folders, will be place in a Not Added folder.
