Why won't the App Store let me download Mountain Lion even though my system meets the requirements?

I am trying to purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. I have all the requirements met, but I get an error message saying my computer is not compatible. What's up and how do I fix it? Here are 2 screen captures of my system specs:

Hmmm...my screenshots are appearing for me...and, I've check and rechecked my system specs against the requirements and they match! Argh. I even went to the ID number detail...my MacBook Pro has the Core Duo with 2 GB of RAM, is running 10.6.8, and is a mid-2007 version 1, which it says in the requirements should work. Am I missing something?

You have the original MacBook Pro, that it's not compatible with OS X Mountain Lion. Also, see that you have an Intel Core Duo processor, and OS X Mountain Lion requires an Intel Core 2 Duo because it's a 64-bit operating system. See > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs

The Intel Core Duo processor that your Mac has got is a 32-bit processor, so it won't work with Mountain Lion
