My bootcamp gets stuck while downloading the windows support.

I have a mac os x 10.8 i5 processor and 4gb ram. I have a bootcamp version of 5.0.1 and but the windows software download gets stuck in the middle. Also if i choose to ignore the download and go for partition, the app stutsdown and shows an error message everytime. Is it a problem with bootcamp software? PLEASE HELP.
