Recently updated my iPad 3 gen with ios 6.1 and now it can't connect to the verizon network. It only says Searching in the top left. I can't even check my account in the settings.

I would do the following
restart
reset the ipad
put out the sim and put it back in
reset network setting
get a new sim
restore as new
Didn't work.
Try Resetting it on your Settings Via: Setings> General> Reset > Reset All Settings (No Media will be deleted.)
Did not work either.
Nor did erasing all content and reset settings work.
Now the iPad is not activating.
Try Restoring your iPad Via Mac or PC in iTunes.
Went to the Apple Store to have it restored. Apparently, the software update did not install properly. Thankfully, I had the iPad backed up for when they fixed it. Now it is working perfectly.
So the cellular data is now working?
