Q: i just purchased this mac mini, i upgraded it to 8gb. The computer sometimes freezes and i have to reboot it. does anyone know why?

I purchased this mini about a week ago. It sometimes freezes or locks up while it idleing. The only way I can get a response is to turn off and back on manually. I have also noticed some rare cherping while listening to music and occassional digitalization while watching content. Help...

    Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

    I originally had updated my Mini out of the box from 4GB to 8GB but the 8GB was not the correct memory. I ordered the correct memory from Crucial and have not had a problem since.

    I originally had updated  my Mini out of the box from 4GB to 8GB but the 8GB was not the correct memory. That memory was from the Mac Mini pre-mid-2012 which I had but returned because the new model came out days after my initial purchase. I ordered the correct memory for the Mid-2012 Mac Mini from Crucial and have not had a problem since.
