My mac is defaulting to a blue screen and is frezzing up. I call this the blue screen of death for PC. I hope this is not the same for my mac. I have only had it two years! My system is Mac OS X 10.6.8.
Anyone have an idea as to what would cause this. It has happend three times. Twice in the am, i woke to find it in this mode and once when my son was playing on the internet.

Nothing new has been installed recently ? If so, remove the application and test.
blue screen and freezing : during a reboot or sunddenly ? Is you MBP noisy (dirty fans ..) ?
My advices :
1st : SAVE YOUR DATAS in emergency : burn your homedirectories or copy them into an external USB drive
2nd : if you do not know anything on maintenance, give it to a specialist to be deeply checked

I will check and delete a game my son recently downloaded. Other than that nothing else in stalled. Thanks for the tip.
