I wish to purchase the same app again to install on my daughters iPhone as a gift, so I used my Apple ID again. I keep getting a error stating that this app has already been downloaded, which I already know.!!!!!!!!!!!!
How do I get around this. Thank you for any assistance,

If you buy an app for your daughter with your Apple ID it will always be your app, not hers, so just install the app on her iOS device and authorize her device to use your content. It works, but it isn't the best way to do it.
If you want the app to actually be her app, then gift the app to her. In iTunes app on your Mac or PC click the arrow next to the app's price and choose to gift the app.

Thanks Dah, I would prefer your first option where she would bring her phone to me and I would connect it to my imac and use my Apple ID that way I know it has been installed correctly, it is when i attempt to do this when I get that annoying message.
Perhaps I must go with your second suggestion.
On her iOS device open the App Store app to the Fatured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap her Apple ID and sign out. Sign in with your Apple ID. Open the Purchased pane, find the app in question and install it on her device.

Be careful that way, you may put her in a 3-month lock-out of her Apple ID on the device.
