Can I update my iPad 1 to IOS 5.1 without connecting to a computer?

Not sure if I'm in the right spot. Looking for advice re:iPad 1. Currently runs IOS4.1 but I can't download some apps which require 5.1 - which I believe is the latest version that I can run on my version 1. I can't connect to iTunes to update as I am not permitted to connect to iTunes on(my work) computer. Is there anyway to update without a computer? Any advice appreciated
