The built-in camera can't connect

I have a MacBook Air. When I open programs like Facetime or Photobooth i get a black window with a crossed camera and a text saying there isn't a camera connected. I can't find anything about connecting the camera in the settings, how do I do? Please help.

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Make sure that time and date are set correctly.
