How can I make a table cell extend beyond a page? The text disappears when the cell becomes bigger than the page. I want the table to continue to the next page.

Insert a row below onto the next page, then merge the two cells.
Format>Table>Add Row Below
Then highlight both cells
Format>Table>Merge All Cells
Then use the the return key to position the text as you would like in the second cell
As a student, you might be able to get Office for Mac from the college bookstore at a substantial discount. Otherwise, I think your best option for documents that need to be shared with Office users is to get one of the free Office clones such as LibreOffice.
You have to have smaller cells and the table has to be inline. There is no other way in Pages. If you need that much text in a table why not use columns in the text layer instead or use Text boxes that you can connect from page to page.
I have discovered that there is no solution to my problem, after seeing other post about the subject. This is an assignment for school and I have to convert it to a Microsoft Word document to be able to turn it in and I am concerned that if I connect text boxes that it will not format correctly when I convert it. I tried formating it to columns but with what I am doing that won't work. I'm just asking my professor if I can type it up in a paragraph form.
