after trying to update my ipad 2 it says that it cannot be updated because it is corrupted..how can that be possible? and there is an image on my ipad of itunes logo and usb cable..and it cannot be turned off or on..it is stucked up there..

Try a reset. Press and hold the Home and On/Off buttons simultaneously until you see the Apple logo, then release. This may take up to 10 seconds. This is the equivalent of a re-boot and you will not lose any data.
