What can I do about purchases I made with my old Apple ID? I had to change the suffix to my current Apple ID when I changed service providers. Can I get the old purchases without repurchasing them?

Did you update your existing account or did you create a new account ? If you created a new account then any purchases that you made with your old account will remain tied to that old account, and you can't currently transfer purchases from one account to another one. As long as you remember the old account's id and password you should be able to authorise them on your computer's oTunes, and potentially re-download some/all of them : re-downloading. But re-downloading an account's purchases may tie that computer or device to that account for 90 days : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627

If you no longer have access to the old account's email address then you should be able to change it to a new email address by logging into the account via this page : https://appleid.apple.com/
