what version of itunes do you have?
It really doesn't matter what version iTunes 291264 has.
iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues
iTunes for Windows XP: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues.
Hope all this helps.

Sep 7, 2013 5:06 PM in response to keeferafby Tourman2,keeferaf - What if those actions do not work. I'm completely stuck - ITunes stopped opening a couple of days ago and I've tried everything. Remove/reinstall QuickTime. Same for ITunes. Starts in "Run as Administrators" but I have no new 3rd party add ons. Nothing has changed in my system (Win 7 64-bit OS). Newest ITunes. I watch Windows Task Manager and when I click ITunes it loads but then drops. Never opens. I'm stymied and have no idea where to go next.

Feb 3, 2014 2:07 PM in response to 291264by rosefrom nm,I downloaded an update on 2/2 and now I get messages about missing MSVCR80.dll - I have tried re-installing to no avail. I was in iTunes prior to the download and now I can't access my library, update my ipod or anything.
