I want to turn off my keyboard back light turned off, it must be consuming lot of power when i am not requiring

Press the F5 key until the light shuts off.

how do you turn the light on? i tried holding in F5 but doesnt work.

To turn the light on press the F6 key. The more times you press F6 the brighter the backlighting will become.
