Ok, so I have an iPod and iPad. I have the messenger on my iPod that connects with FaceTime but I can't find it on my iPad. I may have deleted it when I was cleaning up my apps. Anyone know how I can get it back?
You can try a few things. First, check you trash can. Second, you can check you iTunes folder, under Mobile Applications and see if it still in there. If you find it in either, just dragging it back into the iTunes window will restore it. Otherwise, doing a restore of the iPad should put it back in there, as it is a default app.

Two things . Where is the trash can and do I need a computer to get into my iTunes folder? I've been in iTunes and the app store on my iPad and I'm not that good with all this tech stuff. I have this iPad mostly for email,but I just found out I can txt for free with family and use FaceTime,so now I need that app back.
OK, I am now assuming you cleaned up the apps on the iPad directly, and not in the iTunes application on the computer?
Messages is a default app, so it can not be deleted directly from the iPad. Most likely it was moved to a folder, or a different screen. Try swipping between screens, and check all of the folders to make sure it wasn't accidentally moved into one of them. I AM good with tech stuff, and this happens to me all the time.
Yes I cleaned up on the iPad but I have nothing in folders. Only three screens full of little app windows. I have looked everywhere and can't find it. Went into app store to look for it. Into iTunes but on my iPad I can't really figure it out. I may have to hook it up to a computer which I don't have to get into my iTunes account. I just thought someone could help me find it on my iPad. But thanks for your help.
Swipe from left to right until you get to the search window. Type in Messenger in that search bar. It should be listed in there somewhere.
I did. I have typed in , imessage, messenger, imessage app. But nothing comes up. It's kind of frustrating right now. Haha.

That only brings up my messages from Facebook etc. Then ,search web and search wikipidia
Sorry, that should have been Messages. Somewhere in the list should be the Message icon on the left and the text to the right will say "Messages" only.
Nope, that only brings up search web and Wikipedia . Maybe you understand my frustration now. I guess I will have to go into iTunes on a computer.
