I own a new iPod classic 160GB A1238 (less than 12hrs old) The smart playlist I created for my podcast does not sync with my iPod. I aswell own another iPod classic 80GB A1238 that sincs perfectly using the same iTunes library.

Plays is 0
Genre is Podcast
Can you please help me sync my new iPod.

Have you checked the iPod's Podcasts pane (that you can access via the iPod icon that appears when connected to iTunes)?
iTunes has almost certainly recognised the second iPod as different to the first one, so you need to set the Sync Podcasts option for this second iPod.
